Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, in word or deed,do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus...
- Colossians 3:16-17
Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Ephesians 5:19-20
While these passages intruct the body to gather together for the purpose of horizontal encouragement, they also instruct us for vertical worship, as we submit all areas of our lives to the sovereign will of our God.
The body of San Tan Bible Church worships together every Sunday, in two unique settings. We meet at 8:30am in a small classroom setting for Bible Hour, where we go into God's Word in depth, week by week. We also meet corporately for worship/sermon at 10:00am. This is a time for the body to praise and worship our Lord. We read scripture together, pray together, take communion together, and hear the teaching of God’s word...together.
The atmosphere is one of casual comfort. We meet in the gymnasium of Gilbert Christian School, with a portable stage to house the praise band for a time of participatory praise and worship. The music and expressions for worship are varied from driving rhythm band to quiet acoustic reflection. It is a time to give God glory and to surrender to His grace and mercy; a time to truly praise and worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
