San Tan Bible Church was grown from the prayers and petitions of several men and families who sought to establish a work in the San Tan area of the East Valley to reach out to the body of Christ and to the lost.

In the Fall of 2007, these men and their families began to meet for prayer to diligently seek God’s heart for this new work.  Over the next few months, God brought together various leaders and team members on Sunday afternoons for a time of prayer, fellowship, the study of God’s Word, and the breaking of bread.  On the afternoon of February 12, 2008, San Tan Bible Church conducted its first public worship service in the gymnasium of Gilbert Christian School.

Clay Miller assumed the pastorate of San Tan Bible Church July 13, 2008. Clay graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 2001 with highest honors.  He assumed the role of Outreach Pastor at Grace Community Church as well as an adjunct professor at TMS.  He and his family were then sent to the east coast to pastor a church for five years prior to coming to Arizona and STBC.

Over the next few years, the Lord, in His grace, brought substantial growth in ministries from the strong doctrinal and spiritual foundations of STBC. We confirmed our Elder Board, moved our worship services to Sunday morning, and began partnering with missionaries around the globe seeking the spread of the Gospel to all nations.  We established a variety of teaching and serving ministries within our church to encourage and support the spiritual growth of our church family and to train them up in Biblical leadership and service in our community and God’s Kingdom.

We were blessed with a wonderful partnership with Gilbert Christian Schools from our official first Sunday public worship on February 12, 2008 to February 23, 2020.  On March 1, 2020, we held our first Sunday service in our own building!

The spiritual life of San Tan Bible Church is vibrant and growing. We continue to seek God’s wisdom in our ministries and rely on His faithfulness as we stay committed to the truths of His Word.

Word of God - we teach the Bible uncompromised – acknowledging that it is the infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

Worship of God – the Father seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth (God is spirit – and we worship according to the full counsel of His Word).

Love of God - we recognize that while we were yet sinners, God loved us first. We know that our Lord has told us to love Him with all of our heart, mind, and soul - and to love our neighbor as our self.

It is the expressed hope of the leadership at San Tan Bible Church that San Tan Bible would be a church that honors God - from the plurality of elders to the ministry of the body He has assembled. To God be the glory.
